Our Mission

The brands you keep watching.

Some of the work you’ve already seen. The restaurant whose video kept turning up on your feed, the shop whose photos made you stop scrolling — that’s the job. We started as storytellers and never stopped, we just gave the story something to do.

Since 2018 we’ve made that for New Jersey favorites and national brands alike: content good enough to earn attention in a crowded feed, put in front of the right audience, and measured against what it brought back.

Our History

How we got here.

  1. Before MediaScher

    Our passion begins

Tyler started with a passion for art and drawing. That led him into editing — photos first, then video — and before long he was cutting edits for local DJs, which turned into freelance work of his own. The turn came when he stopped waiting on other people's footage: he bought his own equipment, picked up a camera, and learned to shoot it himself. That's where MediaScher started.

    Our first client

Our first video shoot was free. Heirloom Kitchen — a restaurant, a camera, and a film both sides were proud of. With no reputation and nothing yet to point at, putting the value in first was how we earned the client; there always has to be an exchange, and back then ours was the work itself. Later that year we filmed the James Beard Foundation in New York City, alongside rising stars from Top Chef. The lesson stuck: prove the value first, and the relationship follows.

    Navigating a changed market

We were working nearly entirely with high-end restaurants when the pandemic hit, and most of that work went with it — every business in the room was cutting expenses to stay open. Diversifying wasn't a strategy so much as survival: real estate, furniture, pet stores. Restaurants never stopped being home ground, but this was the year we learned to be useful to almost anyone.

    Names worth knowing

Real estate work got serious, the restaurant roster got stronger, and enough of the calls started coming in on reputation rather than referral. We began working with a run of renowned businesses — among them Chef Robbie Felice, of the wafu Italian concept pastaRAMEN.

    Strategy with a purpose

This was the year of strategy and marketing with a purpose. Good photo and video can only take a client so far; what they actually needed was someone deciding what it was all for — distribution, paid advertising, a website that converted, a brand that held together. So we built the services around that and started taking clients on for all of it. We also began working that year with clients such as Iron Chef Morimoto, and by the end of it we had the first MediaScher office, right here in New Jersey.

    Specialists, not generalists

The team grew 5x, and what we hired for changed with it: people who do one thing exceptionally rather than everyone being a jack of all trades. That's what let the service list keep getting longer and better at the same time. It's also when the reporting caught up with the work — measurable results, and a straight line from attention earned to revenue booked.

  7. Today

    Your dedicated marketing partner

We work as your dedicated marketing partner, not just a vendor — trusted by more than 200 businesses for events, brand launches, experiences, and retainers we've held for years. The philosophy hasn't moved since that first unpaid shoot: earn it, then keep earning it.
